“Bee To Brick”
This Spring I had the pleasure of working with the Salem Art Festival Committee on their public art project, called “Bee to Brick” for the Art Festival. The project’s mission was to get the community involved in making bees out of bottle bricks (bottle stuffed with non-recyclable materials) while educating them on the importance of bees in our ecosystem as well as pollution. Once all the bees were made they were hung up over Artist Row in Salem, Ma. I was asked to help make some of the bees and design the 3ft x 6ft poster that would inform and educate folks passing by about the installation. Once the installation is dismantled the bottle bricks will then be used to make sustainable structures.
